Mythical and scenic roads: Alps, Dolomites and Lake Region

This motorcycle tour will lead you among Alps, Dolomites and lakes, a real paradise for motorbikers.

Mythical and scenic roads: Alps, Dolomites and Lake Region
The contrast between the quiet lakes and the striking towering mountains is breathtaking.
Lake Como is seen as one of the areas between sky and water with spectacular views.
The emotion of unique views is particularly intense when you reach some viewpoints, authentic “royal stages” from which you can admire the spectacle of man and nature: we will be there!
Stelvio Pass: “ At the court of His Serene Highness by bike”. It’s just like the long wave of surfers, the downhill of the World Cup for ski race lovers. The Stelvio Pass is a timeless myth for all bikers. Baptism with hairpin turns and  high altitude for beginners, pure amusement for experts, unmissable event  for those who love altitudes and twists. The “queen” of all the Alpine roads.
Dolomites: roads that challenge the mountains and gain a position among the mythical pathways of the Alpine area, with their spectacular peaks and villages where you can feel the value of local traditions. A must for any biker.

You travel from the biggest city of Lombardy to the natural panorama above the Larian Triangle, where you can benefit from a mild and crisp air. In Como you can taste the famous Taleggio cheese and, running along the limestone peaks, you get to the valley that shields the cradle of the most famous mineral water in the world: San Pellegrino Terme.

Day 3: San Pellegrino terme - Boario
110 mi / 180 km

This day is dedicated to the landscapes of the Pre-Alps that introduce you, twist after twist, to the bold peaks of the Rhaetian Alps. There will be no shortage energizing and flavorful breaks in the picturesque villages of Valtellina. You will undoubtedly appreciate this visit if you have a keen eye for your culinary and cultural choices.

Day 4: Bormio - Canazei
110 mi / 180 km

From the wide valley where Bormio is you take a spectacular road that leads you to the Stelvio Pass. This is one of the most well-known Alpine itineraries for its height and for the beauty of its pathways. After the pass, in the Dolomites nearby which are just as adventurous, the vortex of hairpin bends downhill will bring you to mountain passes. Between the two natural sanctuaries you can enjoy having a break in Merano and in Bolzano.

Day 5: Canazei - Canazei or Rest Day
93 mi / 150 km

You will spend two nights in this wonderful location to savor best the natural and culinary wonders of the Dolomites. You can spend these days visiting the surrounding places or you can have days of rest. The best motorcycle “dance” tour that you can see in the Alpine area, take place in this region, all around the rocks of the Sella Group.

Day 6: Canazei - Ora
110 mi / 180 km

Another day dedicated to the number of twists and breath-taking views with a visit to the pearl of the Dolomites: Cortina d’Ampezzo, the heart of the Alps. Some other less known villages as Colle Santa Lucia, Malga Ciapela are part of the magnificent Dolomites’ scenery which also included the Pale di San Martino and the Marmolada Glaciers. The string of historic places is interesting because during the First World War (1915-18) some epic events took place here. Luckily now it has turned into a place of periodical and pacific meetings between the different ethnic groups of the region.

Day 7: Ora - Lazise
125 mi / 200 km

The itinerary starts on the historic and linguistic border between Italy and Austria and heads south: this pathway is known as “the Wine Street”. According to enologists this area, especially the Rotaliana Plain, represents the most beautiful vineyard in Europe with its sloping hills, its castles, its fortified villages and the arbor rows that outline and adorn the landscape. On the road to the Garda Lake you can admire the mountains standing on its shores, among which the Mount Baldo stands out. This area is called “the Garden of Europe”.

Day 8: Lazise - Iseo
80 mi / 130 km

A wide plains lightly hilly, with a Mediterranean vegetation and lots of little villages, characterizes the low valley. However, running along the lake you can ride through many touristic villages such as Peschiera, Sirmione, Desenzano and Salò. The next stage is another nice area famous for wine (sparkling in this case): Franciacorta. The ride ends when you get to another wonderful Pre-Alpine lake: Iseo Lake with its homonymous and picturesque town.

Day 9: Iseo - Milano
80 mi / 130 km
