The Italian countryside changes from region to region and we will show you all the differences during our motorcycle tour across Italy.
This one-way AIMTO motorcycle trip starts from Milan, the Capital of Fashion and Design and it ends in the ancient and magic real Capital of Italy: Rome. We suggest considering Milan or Rome as a possible extension of the tour. A tour for expert bikers as well as lovers of culture and history. The countryside is dominated by mountains, hills, rivers, valleys and lakes.
To understand Italy you have to taste its food because it's part of the life style and history of the country.
The first warm-up is on the Apennines and its twisty roads. In the first pages of our picture-book tour we explain the fabled city of Florence. Our days in Tuscany pass through the Chianti Classico region. The Chianti Classico is the Tuscan area between Siena and Florence from which this exquisite wine comes. It offers also amazing roads and endless hills covered by vineyards of the best quality, woodlands and olive groves. Here and there are hills with picturesque medieval villages perched on them.
The city of Siena is full of culture and history too.
The trip to Assisi will be for you a spiritual renewal especially when we ride our motorcycles on “La Strada del Cantico” (the Road of Ancient Song). In Umbria we will visit the Marmore Falls, extolled during the centuries for their beauty; the Marmore Falls are a waterfall with a controlled flow, divided into three jumps used for the production of electricity. The tour ends in the beautiful countryside of Rome: Colli Albani, the region where Castelgandolfo is located: the Retreat of the Popes. The place is surrounded by palaces, gardens and masterpieces designed by the famous artist Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
During our trip we will also discover the "smaller" Italy, that is more hidden and less known, that is more representative of the unfolding of the millenary history that has left its indelible marks especially in these places cut off from development and modernization.
